Great question and in truth somtimes it feels a bit strange the world of NFTs exists, even to us. Emoji themseleves as a concept are not owned by anyone (sort of). However, the images that you might associate with an Emoji are. For example, Apple owns the images for Emoji used on an iPhone, that’s why the emoji on a Googl Android device look slightly different.
Fortunately the good folk over at OpenMoji provide open source image for all emojis and they really make EmojiQR possible. They distribute under a CC BY-SA 4.0 license so you are free to use the EmojiQR png files for anything. Deciding what a QR code links to on the EmojiQR site however is limited to the owner of the official NFT.
